Sell Miles?

Sell Miles?
I know, you’d like to sell miles and/or loyalty program points. Frequent flyer miles/air travel points get especially tricky, partly because airlines have been known to forbid selling miles or points in their user agreements. I think we can all agree that you should never do anything to cheese-off an airline.
Suddenly, across my desk, comes an email from Points announcing that you can redeem miles from certain airlines via Points and their partnership with Paypal. This could be a great way to increase your Paypal balance. Of course, certain restrictions apply and you should definitely check with Points for the up-to-the-minute details.
For those with miles or loyalty program points they can’t redeem via the Points/Paypal program, what are you really trying to do anyway? If you’re like me, you might be looking at your points or frequent flyer miles and thinking, “these things seem nearly worthless. I wish I could get something of value for them like, oh let’s say, cash.”
Although, what can you really do with cash? Well, you can buy things. What if you could go from forgotten and therefore worthless points to buying things? That would be pretty much the same effect or value as selling miles/points, wouldn’t it?
Again, loyalty program management website Points is worth checking out.
The Points site says, you can manage over 100 loyalty programs in one place, including but not limited to managing points, posting trades, exchange points for other points, buy more points and redeem points for electronic gift cards.
The Points site seems to be all about getting more out of your loyalty program points. In addition to all of the above, they offer to keep you posted on your balances and special offers and opportunities.
So, let’s say you’re like most people, and you have completely forgotten about the various loyalty programs you belong to. What are your chances of doing something smart after loyalty program amnesia has set in? Hopefully, through Points, you can manage it all to a much better result.
With Points help, staying on top of your miles situation and redeeming your soon-to- expire miles/points into gift cards before they expire is a great way to get value out of forgotten loyalty programs. There may be nothing more worthless than expired miles!
Are you still stuck on selling miles for cash?
Consider this; if you can do all of the above as Points claims and maybe wind up with electronic gift cards that can be used like cash to buy some things, doesn’t that seem almost as good as selling points for cash to buy things? Just manage your points better into the stuff you need.
As with all website offers, certain restrictions apply. You should always read everything thoroughly at and about the site making the offer before proceeding with any transaction.
